you need this: global knife

So… for decades I was a devoted j.a. henckles knife fan. It’s the set I collected from my wedding registry; and it’s the brand I continued to add as my knife collection grew. I absolutely loved my knives. And then a random babysitter broke the tip off of my favorite chef knife, and when I went to replace it, I found that they had discontinued that knife. I tried different sizes, I tried adapting and using the other knives in my collection, but nothing felt quite right.

That is… until I won a random knife from a raffle that my friend (and chef extraordinaire) kat humphus was hosting with her new home delivery service. It was this global chef’s knife, and to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure how to feel about it.

It sat in my drawer for quite a while… that’s how afraid of change I was.

But then, one day, I grew tired of using a knife that just didn’t fit my hand or work in the kitchen the way I wanted it to, so I opened the global box and decided to give it a go.

And boy, am I ever glad I did that. I love this knife. I mean I really, really love this knife. It’s just perfect. It fits my hand, the weight is perfect, and man, does it cut, slice, and julienne like nobody’s business. I like it so much, I’ve slowly added two more, a pairing knife, and a santoku knife. As my 20+ year old henckles continue to slowly wear out, chip, or pit, I fully intend on replacing them all with global knives.

They really are the best.
