quick tips: burger bowls
I’m not sure if i’ve mentioned this before… but i love a protein style burger. Like more than a regular burger on a bun. And regardless if I’m eating carbs or not. I just prefer them that way.
The problem though… is there is only a limited vehicle for toppings, you can never fit all the ones you want… and sauce? Forget about it. Lettuce doesn’t hold sauce like a bun does.
Enter the burger bowl.
Grab a couple handfuls of fresh lettuce, add a burger, all the toppings you want, and drizzle the whole baby with special sauce dressing (which is just a half version of my special sauce plus 2 Tbsp of water to thin it out a bit. Perfect burger in a bowl.
My prefered toppings?
avocado
grilled onions
grilled corn
tomatoes
pickles
sauteed mushrooms
