out and about: queenstown village happy hour
Who doesn’t love a good happy hour? Especially if you just a an hour or so to have a quick catch up with friends.
One of the newest restaurants in the village (and by newest, I mean almost two years now), is queenstown village. It’s a new zeland style pub. They’ve got a great brunch, some fun dinner options, and a fantastic happy hour. Which is what we are talking about right now.
Pro tip, ask for olives instead to make it a true dirty martini. It’s tiny, but mighty. A really well rounded martini. And I love a good dirty gin martini.
These tacos were so yummy. The tuna was super fresh, the avocado nice and firm, and the sriracha adding the perfect heat to the bite without being overpowering.
My only complaint, is that there are only two, and they are tiny. I could have eaten 4 or more just myself. So keep that in mind if you are sharing with a friend.
Perfect pimm’s cup. light, bright, and refreshing.
I loved the addition of cucumber. It balanced everything out in a most unexpected way.
I love onion dip. Love, love, love onion dip. And this is a favorite.
The homemade potato chips were perfectly cooked, and I loved the addition of the fried onions on top of the dip. It gave an additional twist to the onion flavor - which, let’s face it, is what you want out of an onion dip.
Honestly, there isn’t anything on the happy hour menu that I wouldn’t order, and I love that each time I go, I can change up what I order.
