alabama white bbq sauce

I can only imagine how non “alabamaesque” my alabama bbq sauce is… but I’m not from alabama y’all… or the south. I just like good food, and wanted to try my hand at something different.

It was definitely an experiment gone right.

Less about a dipping sauce and more about a marinade. Although super tasty when tossed with cabbage for a side slaw.

Ingredients:

1 cup mayo, homemade or store bought

1 egg

1 tsp dijon

1 tsp salt

juice of 1/2 lemon

enough avocado oil to equal 2 cups when added to above ingredients

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tsp white pepper

1 Tbsp horseradish

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp dijon

1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce

1 clove garlic

Directions:

Add (or make mayo using an immersion blender) in a 2 cup glass mason, or similar lidded, jar.

Add the rest of the ingredients, and blend.

Refrigerate sauce overnight.
