quick tip: peeling hard boiled eggs

Hard boiled eggs- regular treat around here, kids love them, hubs love them, I love them. We usually have a half dozen or so in the fridge to snack on at all times. I also love using them in dishes. Easter is a regular hard boiled egg love fest with my cheesy deviled eggs; but aside from that most excellent brunch dish, we use them on the regular for potato salad, pasta salad, and egg salad.

The worst thing about hard boiled eggs though? The peeling that is required to eat them, especially when one is peeling, say two dozen eggs at a time.

The best way to peel a hard boiled egg? Tap the egg against a hard flat surface to start a crack, and then remove the shell under cold running water. The whole thing comes off together and much more easily than you would imagine. Cuts your egg peeling time considerably, and helps with the clean up too.
