quick tips: easy grilled weeknight tri-tip

Always up for a quick and easy meal starter during the week. And this grilled tri tip is nothing short of both easy and quick.

Let the meat be it’s own star, seasoning simply with evoo, salt, and pepper.

I love using an automatic pepper grinder, like the one from cole & mason, because I can do it one handed, which leaves me with one hand for raw meat and one hand clean for seasoning.

Quick and easy, indeed.

What’s especially great about this recipe is its versatility. You can use it in tacos, on sliders, and atop salads. Or, just serve it by itself with some potatoes and veggies… however and whatever you want, all to make it even more quick and easy.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 lb tri tip.

evoo

salt

pepper

Directions:

Preheat grill to about 425 degrees.

Drizzle tri tip all over with evoo, and a generous sprinkling of salt and pepper. Let rest for 15 minutes outside of fridge before grilling.

Place tri tip over medium flame. Cook about 15 minutes on each side - checking for temperature with an instant read thermometer. Looking for meat to hit about 130.

Remove from grill and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
