out and about: universal studios hogs head pub in hogsmead

Took a quick trip to universal studios last week.

Spent some time exploring hogsmead, the harry potter wizarding world inside the park.

We knew that butterbeer was on the agenda.

There are three types of butterbeer you can experience, regular, hot, and frozen.

We were looking for a beverage of the adult variety, and asked a cast member if we could get buttebeer in the hogs head pub, as well as drink drinks, so that the kiddos could enjoy something to drink as well.

Not only did they respond in the affirmative, but they also let us know (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) that we could (and should) order a shot on the side of frozen butter beer, to do with what we would. Also, that the shot should be jameson or fireball.

So what’s a girl or two to do? We got the frozen butterbeer with two shots of jameson. And man, was it delish. The perfect drink to wander around hogsmeade and hogwarts with on a hot day.
