sparkling mint julep
Just in case you were interest in having something other than a hurricane this fat tuesday, or for your mardi gras celebration in general, may i remind you of the mint julep?
And, ya know, not just any mint julep, but this is my sparkling version (which by the way you could totally batch and serve as a sangria).
Ingredients:
8 mint leaves
2 oz simple syrup (1:1 ratio)
ice
4 oz whiskey
12 oz club soda
Directions:
Divide the mint and simple syrup between 2 julep (or mule) glasses.
Using the handle of a wooden spoon, muddle the mint to release oils.
Add ice to each cup.
Split whisky and soda between the two cups. Stir to combine and stir.
