cherry berry crisp
Taking advantage of all the amazing berries in season right now, this crisp highlights their flavor’s without a heavy crust to get in the way.
Ingredients:
1 clamshell cherries, pitted and halved
1 clamshell strawberries, hulled and halved
1 clamshell blueberries
1 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp white sugar
2 Tbsp butter, cut in cubes
1 cup flour
1 cup oats
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Toss washed and prepared fruit with white sugar, 1 Tbsp flour, 2 Tbsp butter. Pour into a deep pie pan approx 8 inch in diameter.
In a large bowl, using your hands, combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup oats, 1 cup softened butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Once butter is incorporated, crumble topping over pie filling.
Bake on center rack until topping is golden brown and berries are bubbly. 30 -45 minutes.
