bubbly sangria
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, or know me in real life, you know that no food event, or get together is complete without a themed sangria.
I love creating sangrias… they’re just the best. And, not to toot my own horn, but I’m known for making good ones. One’s that even my beer drinking husband will imbibe in.
This one is perfect for all things summer. It’s summer fruit in a glass.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup patron or similar orange liquor
1 1/2 cups fresh tangerine juice
1 bottle of bubbles (I prefer iron horse)
1 can sparkling tangerine flavored water
floater of grenadine per glass
4 fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
1 clamshell of cherries, rainer or other, pitted
3 clementines, peeled and segmented
Directions:
Add prepared fruit to large pitcher. Add orange liquor, and tangerine juice to fruit. Stir to combine.
Set pitcher in fridge at least 6 hours up to overnight before serving.
Right before serving add champagne and sparkling water. Combine.
Pour into individual glasses with a splash of grenadine for each.
