Who doesn’t love grilled cheese?

I mean, I could prolly eat grilled cheese almost every day of the week, but that doesn’t mean I want to cook grilled cheese every day of the week. Especially during the summer months where either standing over the oven or broiling in a hot oven makes one swelter.

Summer grilled cheese solution? Air fry it.

And as this particular grilled cheese recipe calls for white american cheese and sourdough bread, it basically screams summer.

Ingredients:

8 slices of sourdough bread

12 slices of white american cheese

1/2 cup of butter, melted

Directions:

Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.

Spray air fryer tray with avocado oil. Place four slices of sourdough down on tray, and top with 3 slices of cheese each. Top with an additional slice of sourdough.

Using a basting brush, coat top of bread with melted butter.

Air fry for about 5 minutes, checking occasionally to make sure they don’t get too toasty. After 5 minutes and when golden brown, remove from fryer. Flip sandwiches over, and coat top side of bread with melted butter.

Fry for an additional 3 -5 five minutes, until both sides are now golden brown and cheese is melty. Make sure to check often to prevent browning.
