quick tip: cut corn on a towel
This might be a silly tip; but I struggled with cutting corn off the cob for years.
Not because the act of cutting itself was difficult, but because those pesky little kernels would go all over my kitchen, and the clean up took longer than the actual kernel removal.
That is, until I figured out that the best way to stop those slippery little devils from going all over the counter and floor, was to spread out a kitchen towel, place the corn cob smack dab in the middle of it, and slice down from there. The roughness of the kitchen towel stops the kernels from skidding all over, and gives you a heap of corn, all in one spot.
The best part?
No more chasing down individual kernels that have escaped to the far corners of your kitchen floor…
