watermelon margarita smoothie
Happy national margarita day!! Yes, it’s really a thing, and yes, I get quite giddy about it. While tequila is my happy place, fruity flavored combo drinks (ie sangria) are my jam. And this smoothie margarita has both in spades.
Ingredients:
3 cups of watermelon, chopped and frozen
1 banana, sliced and frozen
1 apple, cored, sliced and frozen
juice of two limes
1 1/2 cups apple juice
limes for garnish
chili-lime salt for rims
1 3/4 cups of your favorite silver tequila
Directions:
Blend all ingredients together in a high powered blender.
Rub the rim of 6 glasses with cut limes, and rim with chili-lime salt.
Pour blended smoothie mixture into individual glasses.
PS: you can leave out the tequila and make yourself an excellent smoothie if you wanted to… but do you?
