sour cream smashed potatoes

I know you know this, but it bears repeating. You can’t go wrong with mashed potatoes. Period.

And these mashed potatoes are so good because of the addition of sour cream. And I, for one, am obsessed with sour cream. Yes, in general, but also on potatoes.

Ingredients:

5 red potatoes, rough chopped in approximately 2 inch cubes (no need to peel)

4 Tbsp butter

1/4 cup cream

1/3 cup sour cream

1 tsp salt

Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add potatoes and boil until fork tender.

Drain and return to pot. Add butter, cream, sour cream and salt. Using a potato masher, smash all ingredients together until combined, but still slightly lumpy.
