artichoke spinach dip in a bread bowl
Isn’t everything better in a bread bowl?
Ingredients:
large bread round, top removed and insides scooped out
4 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
5 oz spinach
2 cans artichoke bottoms, chopped
6 oz shredded jack cheese
4oz shredded mozarella cheese
8oz cream cheese
1/2 cup mayo
sliced green onions
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.
In a large cast iron skillet, melt butter.
Whisk in flour 1 Tbsp at a time until combined.
Whisk in salt.
Slowly add in milk, whisking until combined and thickened.
Add in spinach and artichokes. Combine and cook until spinach wilts.
Add in cheese, and stir until melted.
Add in cream cheese and mayo, whisk to combine.
Pour mixture into bread bowl, and top with green onions.
Back until golden about 30 minutes. Cover with foil if needed.
