sloppyless joes sliders

How do you make a sloppy joe less sloppy?

Take the sloppy sauce out of the occasion and serve it separately on the side for dipping.

Then take your loose meat and throw it into some hawaiian sweet rolls, melt cheese over in the oven, and chop up.

It’s kinda the perfect small bite.

Ingredients:

dipping sauce:

1/2 tsp salt

1 clove garlic

6oz mayo

4oz ketchup

1 tsp dijon

1/4 tsp worchestershire

1 1/2 Tbsp paprika

1/4 tsp white pepper

1 Tbsp evoo

2 lbs ground beef

1 onion, peeled and minced

4 garlic cloves, mince

1 tsp worchestershire

1 Tbsp yellow mustard

1 tsp paprika

1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

16 loaf of hawaiian sweet rolls

shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup butter, melted

sesame seeds

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

In a mason jar or other glass pint glass combine sauce ingredients and puree using an immersion blender.

Set aside.

Heat evoo to shimmering over medium heat on the stove.

Add in onions, and sauté until softened.

Add garlic.

Add in ground beef, and break down.

Once beef is browned, add in worcestershire, mustard, paprika, vinegar, salt and pepper.

Once combined, turn heat down and set aside.

Slice hawaiian sweet rolls in half through the center.

Spoon meat mixture over the bottom.

Top with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.

Place the sliced off roll tops, over cheese.

Brush with melted butter.

Shake sesame seeds over the top.

Bake in the oven until cheese has melted.

Dip in sauce as needed.
