out and about: the fishery weekend tower

I mean… top 5 restaurant favs in san diego? You all know The fishery is on our list.

I’ve been eating here pre jamie, pre kids, so several decades… basically since it opened and i was as old as my youngest.

You all also know our kiddos have been eating here since day one. And, even though they no longer do sushi (which was the kids favorite since inception) we still have 3 out of 4 fish loving kiddos. So it’s a win win. Plus with a verifiable sushi grade seafood market inside… we are here. All. The. Time.

But this is not a meal visit. This is your summer happy hour seafood special call out.

Get the fishery tower. And get some drinks.

And just enjoy this little slice of heaven.

topa topa: chief peak ipa

very dirty botanist martini

Got to start happy hour with the drinks.

New ipa on the menu, which jamie tried and liked. He said it was even better than hiis standard harlwand hazy.

I’ve been obsessed with a super dirty martini lately… no idea why. But then I realized I’ve never had one at the fishery before, so now I have to.

And it was perfect.

seafood tower: the petite: 6 oysters, 3 littlenecks clams, 3 saltspring mussels, 4 mexican shrimp, market carpaccio, aguachile + chips

So here’s your play. Get the seafood tower.

You get the best of everything.

You get six oysters. But what they don’t tell you is that you get different types of oysters. We got two varieties. Winning!

And after that, it was the smorgasbord of all of our favorite things. If you like fresh seafood. If you like raw seafood. If you like cooked seafood. If you like sushi. If you like shellfish. This. Is. Your. Dish.

This is the perfect weekend, or weeknight, date night meal.

Just saying.
