spiced french 75

We went to dinner with friends a while back, during my french 75 obsessive period, and while chatting with the bartender, he let me know that they had just gotten in a new spiced gin, and that he’d love to make me a french 75 with it.

So you know I said yes.

And oh em ghee. It was divine. Also perfectly balanced with a honey simple syrup. You guys! Where has honey simple syrup been all my life?

So here ya go. Here’s my fancy version, perfect for your next dinner party, holiday soiree, or you know… wednesday.

Ingredients:

1 oz honey simple syrup

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup honey

boil together, whisking until combined

chill

2 oz spiced gin

juice 1/2 lemon

prosecco

Directions:

Add 1 oz honey simple, gin, and lemon in a shaker. Top with ice, and shake until chilled and combined.

Pour into a coup.

Top with prosecco until glass is full.

You can make in batches as well. However much will fit into your shaker.
