mediterranean ahi tartare
This is one of those perfect date night at home starters. Or valentine’s day at home. Or impressing that certain someone. Or throwing a dinner party.
Its execution is deceptively simple, while imparting a dish full of flavor and brightness.
Ingredients:
3/4 cups ahi tuna, cubed
4 medium sized mediterranean olives, pitted and minced
1 TBSP mediterranean capers, minced
1 tsp minced shallots
4 leaves of basil, chiffonade
2 cherry tomatoes, quartered and halved
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp whole grain dijon
pinch of salt
egg yolk
Directions:
Gently combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Chill before serving.
