quick tip: pork panko
Years ago, I was blown away by the difference in using panko as a breadcrumb substitute. As a topping or breading, the texture and crispness that panko imparted to a dish was levels above that of breadcrumbs.
And now, I have come to discover pork panko which has the added benefit of not only being carb and gluten free, but in addition to crispiness, pork adds an additional flavor pop to everything you make… without an overpowering pork taste whatsoever.
Obviously, while this is great for whole30, keto, or paleo diets as well… it’s not the perfect option for vegetarian, vegans, or pescatarians. However, I still stand behind using regular panko whenever warrented.
