buttermilk ranch dressing
Who doesn’t love a good tangy buttermilk salad dressing? It’s perfect for drizzling over a fresh salad (especially one with bacon), or using as a dipping sauce for pizza, wings, fried chicken or ribs.
And, a good homemade salad dressing is just so much better than store bought. And so much easier than you would think it would be.
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo (homemade or store bought)
1 small shallot, rough chopped
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp anchovy paste
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/3 cup buttermilk
3 Tbsp rough chopped green onions
3 Tbsp rough chopped dill
3 Tbsp rough chopped italian parsley
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
10 small basil leaves
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a 2 cup or greater mason jar.
Using an immersion blender, blend all ingredients until fully combined.
Serve over salad of your choice, or over crispy chicken sandwich, or to dimply dip your pizza in.
