thousand island dressing

You know I’m a big fan of the broiled burger. I’m also a big fan of the grilled burger, the restaurant burger, even the fast food burger.

But, do you know what I’m an even bigger fan of? The thousand island, or special sauce, if you will, that’s found on all of these burgers, that makes them so good.

At home, I make my own. And, while yes, it makes my burgers extra yummy, it’s equally as excellent on a salad, as a fry dipper, or on a sandwich.

Ingredients:

1 cup avocado mayo

1/2 cup primal kitchen ketchup

2 tsp dijon mustard

1 tsp horseradish

1 clove garlic, smashed and minced

3 Tbsp finely minced onions

1 tsp paprika

1/2 cup dill pickles, diced

1/2 tsp paprika

1 tsp kosher salt

1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

Combine all ingredients together in a large mason jar. Refrigerate until ready to use. Lasts 3-5 days.
