pico de gallo
Pico de gallo salsa, or just a fancy way of saying, hand chopped ingredients, that aren’t pureed together, so that you can still individually taste all ingredients. But, also just as tasty as any other type of salsa, and totally warranted on it’s own, or with specific types of tacos.
See… I bet you didn’t know it stood for all that. But it does, and more. And also. So fresh.
Ingredients:
1/4 onion minced
3 small heirloom tomatoes, diced
3/4 bunch cilantro, stems removed, leaves chopped
juice of 1 lime
3/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 jalapeño, minced
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive bowl. Toss gently to combine.
