spicy strawberry ranch water
Um, where have I been. Apparently, my go to bar drink order— tequila, lime, and club soda (or sparkling water); is now a hip thing. And it’s called ranch water. Tequila, squeeze of lime, sparkling water. And?!? It’s the new cool thing. I’ve been cool this whole time, and had no idea.
So now, to jump (but not really) on the bandwagon, I’m sharing a home version I do on the regular. This one is a little spicy, a little sweet, and simultaneously light and refreshing.
Ingredients:
4 strawberries, rough chopped
2 - 4 slices of jalapeño, depending on how spicy you like it (add seeds for super spice)
juice of 1 orange
4 oz tequila
ice
4 oz lime sparkling water
sliced strawberry and jalapeño for garnish
Directions:
Pour 2oz of lime sparkling water into each of two glasses.
Add strawberries, jalapeño slices, orange juice and tequila to a shaker. Fill with ice. Shake for several minutes, until liquid is chilled.
Strain liquid into glass with sparkling water.
Throw in additional jalapeño slices and sliced strawberries.
